Commercial Project/Burn Repair

Today our demolition crews used the services of a 10,000 pound capacity skytrak to remove the burned load beams from our fire damage Dr.’s office repair. Our challenge has been to remove these extremely heavy and tied-in supports without harming the other undamaged portions of this building. Our crews cut the beams and unbolted them from their support gussets. In several cases we were forced to detach the steel gussets with a cutting torch. We lifted the cut potions of the beams out and down to a cleared area on the structure floor. Those cut portions were then systematically carted to trash bins out at the building’s perimeter. Our next challenge – lifting the new, whole beams into place over the entire building’s roof and into their proper place. We will weld new steel gussets into place and employ the services of a crane to lift our new beams in their entirety.
