Residential Construction/Garage

Before

This week we rebuilt a detached garage in the Lower Greenville area of Dallas, TX.  We removed the old composition shingle roof system and the 2”x4” timber roof frame.  We reinforced the existing deteriorated timber wall framing and framed the completely new roof structure.  Once the roof was framed we decked it and applied the new 20 year composition roof system complete with felt paper moisture barrier and low profile exhaust vents.  The new garage roof was installed to match the weathered wood colored house roof.  After completing the roof we finished reinforcing the wall framing.  We then moved to the exterior where we installed fiber cement pre primed Hardie lap siding.  The new Hardie was then painted to match the house.  Because the new Hardie siding was pre primed the new BEHR Premium exterior polymer paint that we used was easy to evenly apply.  The finished product turned out great.  The rebuilt garage looks brand new and greatly complements the curbside appeal of the house.
