DALLAS, DALLAS COUNTY, TX: BALCONY WATERPROOFING

ACCEDE CONSTRUCTION WWW.AXEDE.NET

After building a new covered balcony for a client in Dallas, TX we set about to waterproof it.  First we taped all of the substrate decking seams, thresholds etc.  Then we installed drain scuppers to transport water from the inside of the balcony to the outside during heavy rain storms.  After that we installed angled cant strip insulation around the perimeter of the balcony & applied highly adhesive flashing tape over the perimeter cant strip and up the wall.  We then installed the EIFS wall styrofoam on the four perimeter walls & prepared to apply the base coating.  We applied the self-leveling base coat in stages – 5 gallons per coat.  Upon completion of the application of the 4th balcony base coat application we applied another 2 coats of slope base coating.  After all of the applications cured we applied the first coat of finish.  As the first finish coat started to set up and become tacky we scatter-applied silica sand over the balcony surface and back rolled it into place with yet another coat of finish.  The silica sand will provide a surface with safety traction when wet.  The final color of the finished balcony is dark gray.  Now we have a completely waterproof balcony with a beautiful finished surface with safety traction.

CARROLLTON, DENTON COUNTY, TX: HAIL DAMAGE ROOF REPLACEMENT

Accede Construction WWW.AXEDE.NET

In Carrollton, Denton County, TX we replaced a hail damaged roof.  This was a residential roof system which included a commercial typical flat roof system.  We removed the hail damaged double ply roof system and hauled it away.  We then repaired damaged decking and made substantial carpentry repairs to the structural rafters and joists.  Once the significant preparation work was completed we proceeded to install the new energy efficient roof system.  We installed ISO rigid insulation.  We then installed a highly reflective, 60 mil TPO cap sheet system.  We flashed the walls, chimney, gutters, transitions and A/c system.  The finished Energy Star rated roof system will save our client on monthly energy costs.  We assisted our client in closing out their hail damage claim and recovering their depreciation.

In Frisco, Collin County, TX we set about to replace a concrete patio. We removed the old, cracked and sagging concrete patio. We trenched grade beams on the two outside perimeter runs. We then tied steel rebar throughout the patio structure. After the steel was tied we evenly distributed a sand base. After the preparation was complete we poured the new 3,500 PSI colored concrete slab.  We finished the concrete slab with a no-slip broom finish. All resulting debris was hauled away and the project site was cleaned.
The finished product looks outstanding.

IRVING, DALLAS COUNTY, TX: Roof Replacement due to Hail Damage

This week we replaced a roof in Irving, Dallas County, TX.  Our client called us with concerns regarding roof leaks.  We inspected the roof and found the leak origins.  During our inspection we also observed hail damage.  The hail damage that we observed qualified the roof with most insurance companies for total replacement.  We met our client’s insurance adjuster to show him the hail damage that we saw.  He agreed with us and totaled the roof.  We replaced the roof by removing the damage shingles and hauling them away.  We then cleaned the existing felt off and applied new felt underlayment.  Upon full application of new felt we installed new drip edge flashing around the perimeter of the roof.  We then nailed the new shingles into place and installed the exhaust, plumbing and HVAC vents.  After completing the install we painted all of the vents with UV resistant paint and sealed the fastening nails.  The perimeter of our client’s home was cleaned and we rolled a magnet to collect the fallen nails and the old staples from the hail damaged roof.  We provided our client with their manufacturer warranty and with our 10 year transferable watertight labor warranty.  We then assisted our client in the recovery of their depreciation from their hail damage insurance claim.  The new roof looks great.

FORT WORT, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS: Demolition

Only experienced and very skilled professionals should attempt this type of project. Please contact us prior to beginning your similar project.

At Accede Construction we are experienced demolition professionals and are proud to offer this service to our many clients. Recently, in Fort Worth, TX our crew demolished a two car garage.  This project site is similar to many other residential demolition project sites, many obstacles to overcome and structures not meant for demolition to be protected.  Being that our clients' home, their adjacent decks and several other structures were in close proximity to the two car garage, we subsiquently demised the garage by hand. When space does not afford the use of power equipment on or around a project site, it is imperative that great care is taken.  We took on the painstaking task of disconnecting power lines, as well as carefully disconnecting the sprinkler control panel.  We then proceeded to deconstruct the garage structure shingle by shingle and board by board.  The result is a broom swept concrete pad, showing no sign of ever having a structure on it.  No adjacent structures or belongings of our clients' were damaged in any way. We reconnected the power lines and the sprinkler control panel back to proper working order.

FRISCO, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS: Garage and carport addition with loft expansion

At this recent project we removed the roof & framing above the entire existing house structure.  We built a garage & carport addition onto the rear of the existing structure.  We then framed the entire new continuous roof structure and installed a new roof system.  We added functional dormers to the attic and decked the floor.  We added 3,200 usable square feet to the structure through our attic construction.  The carport & garage area provides 1,800 square feet of secure storage space for our client.  We cleaned all of the resulting demolition debris and hauled it from the site.  Our client had an insurance claim attached to the fence & the roof due to wind/hail damage.  We were able to assist our client in the processing of their insurance claim.  To finish the project we installed James Hardie lap siding, fascia & continuously vented soffit.  The client was very pleased that we were able to maximize his structure to the point that an office and 3 bedrooms can be added.
