This week in North Dallas, TX at I35 & Walnut Hill Lane we replaced a multi layer composition roof system for a long time client. The roof had been damaged by wind and hail. We assisted our client in the insurance claim process by meeting the insurance adjuster. Once the adjuster’s estimate was agreed to we commenced the roof replacement. The roof had two layer of composition shingles laid over wood shakes. We removed all three layers, hauled the debris and disposed of it. Once the old roof was out of the way we repaired several sagging, cracked and broken rafters. The repaired rafters were then braced and supported accordingly. Once the roof structure was stabilized and secured we installed 10” of blown in cellulose insulation. We then replaced the deteriorated fascia and soffits. Once the facade carpentry was repaired we primed and painted all the house exterior with premium exterior polymer paint. We decided to paint the exterior before installing the new roof so as not to get any overspray on the new composition shingles. Upon completion of the painting work we moved back to the roof and installed radiant barrier decking. Once the decking was in place we installed the new felt paper and new 25 year composition shingle rood system complete with a ridge vent system. We then cleaned the project perimeter and rolled a magnet to pick up all nails, staples etc. The job site was left in immaculate condition and our client could not have been more impressed or happy! We then assisted our client in filing the final insurance claim paperwork and he received his depreciation and supplement checks shortly thereafter. Another highly successful project is in the books!
