PLANO, TX: Hail Damage: Roof Replacement and Insurance Claim Assistance

ACCEDE CONSTRUCTION WWW.AXEDE.NET

In Plano we were able to assist a long-time client in the comprehensive repairs of their home.  Their insurance company totaled the roof, several windows, fence & siding.  We completely removed & replaced the hail damaged composition roof & siding.  We rebuilt the wind & hail damaged chimney & clad it with new siding.  We then pressure washed the entire house including the brick masonry.  Finally, we primed, caulked & painted all of the non-brick surfaces including the garage and entry doors.  The broken windows were replaced with new LowE window units.  We then built a new, board on board cedar privacy fence with 3 gates.  The fence was trimmed out & stained to conclude the fence construction.  We then assisted our client in the filing of the insurance claim paperwork so that the depreciation & a supplement could be recovered.  Our client’s home now looks brand new & since Accede Construction is a general contractor we were able to execute all of the needed repairs which significantly simplified the process for the homeowner.

M STREETS DALLAS, TX: Insurance Claims Assistance/Hail Storm

We assisted a repeat client on this project.  Due to a hail storm our client had an insurance claim for the roof, gutter, windows, fence & siding.  Our General Contractor abilities were on display throughout the duration of this project.  We installed a new laminated dimensional composition shingle roof system.  Following the roof we replaced the siding with pre-primed Hardie lap & shake siding as well as Hardie plank fascia & Hardie vented soffit.  Upon completion of the siding replacement due to the hail damage we installed new Energy Star rated double & triple paned window units with LowE glass.  We also built a back patio living area with roof covering & fireplace.  The finished project looks outstanding and stands as proof of Accede’s ability to provide a variety of top quality construction trade contract services.

Residential Construction/Fencing

We built a new 250 linear foot cedar fence in McKinney, TX this week.  The fence needed replacement due to wind and hail damage.   The fence was overgrown with vines and vegetation.  We cut and cleared the foliage away and demolished the fence and timber fence posts.  We then hauled all of the old fence debris away and disposed of it.  The new steel posts were then set in 3 feet of 4,000psi concrete.  We braced the posts and allowed them to cure for 48 hours and then mounted the 2”x4” runners and the 2”x6” mud board on the bottom of the fence.  The new pickets were then hung side by side and run to a plumb line to keep them straight.  The fence line undulates with the terrain which drops almost 40 feet from the front of the property to the back of the property line.  Our challenge was to follow the terrain closely and yet to keep the fence top line straight, neat and clean.  We worked daily with the adjoining neighbors to organize the logistics of the project and to make sure that a caution security fence was in place at the end of each day.  Our client has a pool along with 2 of their 5 adjoining neighbors that share the fence.  It was very important to all involved that the jobsite be left secured and safe at the end of each day.  Upon completion our client along with their neighbors were left with a brand new fence that was constructed with top notch craftsmanship and a project that was managed with the utmost attention to communication and detail.  We assisted our client in the processing of their insurance paperwork and made sure the project site perimeter was left clean.

Pre-engineered Rolling Gate Installation

Pre engineered rolling gate installation.  Our welding crew put together this 10’ tall by 20’ wide steel gate, complete with rolling wheels and track.  We removed the existing 6’ tall by 10’ wide swinging chain link gate in order to install the new larger rolling gate.  Upon setting the new gate frame we set the guide posts and top track roller.  Once in place we applied a timber nailer to the steel frame with self tapping anchors.  We then applied the new pickets to the new gate, welded the steel receiver gussets into place and finished the project.
